About Opie

Hi, I'm Opie! I’m a 13-year-old Jack Russell mix, and I may be a bit of a senior guy, but I’m still full of love and energy.

I’ve had my fair share of adventures, but these days, I’m all about cuddles and spending time with my humans. get along best with children who are dog savvy, so it’s always a pleasure to meet them first. However, I’d prefer to be the only dog in the household. I like the peace and quiet of being the center of attention, and honestly, I prefer the company of humans and the occasional nap in my favorite spot.

I’m definitely a social dog with people and don’t love being left alone for too long — I’d love to have someone around most of the time to keep me company. I’m easy going, and although I enjoy a good outdoor adventure, I’d be happy with indoor and outdoor access. In my previous home, I was mostly kept outdoors, but now that I’m a bit older, I’m much happier to spend time indoors too, especially when it means more snuggles with my favorite humans.

Even though I’m getting up there in age, I still have plenty of love to give. I may move a little slower these days, but I’m always ready to give you a wag of my tail or a soft nuzzle when you’re nearby. I’d love to find a home where I can relax, be your loyal companion, and enjoy my golden years surrounded by love and care.
