About Bear

Hi, I'm Bear, a young German Shepherd cross who's looking for my forever home.

I'm a smart and energetic boy who thrives on mental and physical stimulation, and I need an experienced owner who understands my breed’s needs. I love to stay busy, so I'll need plenty of exercise—think long, sniffy walks and some fun activities at home that challenge my brain. My ideal owner knows how to keep me mentally engaged, whether it's with puzzle toys, treat-training sessions, or other activities that keep my mind sharp.

I'm still learning how to socialise properly with dogs so will need help with that too, I can be a bit over the top and annoying for some, the staff here have been doing some training with me though so I can show off what I have learnt. For this reason, I’ll need a calm, tolerant dog to go home with, one that can help me feel more comfortable in new situations. Bring your resident doggo(s) in to meet me to make sure we are a good match.

If you have kids, I’d love to meet them first, as I’m still getting used to being around young ones. It’s important that they’re dog-savvy, and we should all get to know each other to make sure we're a good fit. I can be a bit jumpy and I don't want to accidentally knock anyone over with my goofy ways.

German Shepherds like me are known for our high energy levels. We need owners who understand how to keep up with both our physical needs and our sharp minds.
