About Simba

Simba is a 3-year-old Husky x Mastiff with a sensitive soul and a heart full of potential. Initially wary-especially around unfamiliar men-Simba takes time to build trust, but once he feels safe, he reveals a deeply affectionate and tactile side. He'll approach gently, lean into touch, and happily curl up beside his people, offering soft tail wags and affectionate licks. Simba is highly food motivated, which makes him responsive to positive reinforcement training, and he already knows cues like "sit" and "hand target." While he can be uncertain in new environments and displays signs of generalized anxiety, Simba has shown he can build confidence with the right support. He walks well on a harness and enjoys calm walks where he can take in his surroundings. Simba has engaged in positive play with a soft-natured female dog and could potentially live with a well-matched canine companion. He will thrive in a calm, patient home-ideally with experience in supporting anxious dogs-where he can build trust at his own pace and form a lasting bond.
