About Haze
Meet Haze! Haze is a big softy who loves being close to his people. He can be unsure with new environments or with unfamiliar faces, but he warms up quickly with calm handling and reassurance. Haze will thrive in a home that can provide structure, routine, and someone home for the first few days to help him settle in.
He can become easily aroused when overstimulated, so he’ll need adopters committed to 4‑paws‑on‑the‑floor training and using management strategies around the home. Feeding meals through enrichment will help keep his mind busy and reduce boredom.
Haze hasn’t shown a strong interest in toys yet, but once he’s comfortable, he may begin to explore his playful side. Structured playtime will help him manage arousal and build healthy habits
He loves pats and attention from people he trusts and is a classic “leaner,” but he can become mouthy with overhandling, so adopters should be aware and responsive to his signals. Haze is strong on lead and will benefit from walking on a harness and practicing loose‑lead skills. He’ll do best with older kids who can participate in training and understand his size and strength.
He must meet any resident dogs at adoption time. Haze can be reactive toward other dogs and will need ongoing support; he is most successful meeting calm, social females, as he can be too intense with males.
Haze is a loving, sensitive boy who will flourish with experienced adopters ready to guide him with patience, structure, and positive training.
