Hi there… my name is Adelaide. I know I’m an older gal, but please don’t let that fool you—I still have a heart full of love just waiting for the right person to discover it. I’ve been in care for nearly a year now, watching people come and go, quietly hoping that one day someone will look at me and think, “You’re the one.”

I can be a little shy when we first meet. Life has taught me to be careful with my heart. But if you’re willing to give me time, patience, and kindness, I promise something truly special will happen. Slowly, I’ll come out of my shell… and once I do, I’ll be your most loyal companion. The kind of dog who stays close, who looks at you with soft eyes full of trust, and who makes you wonder how your life ever felt complete without me in it.

Adelaide dreams of a quiet, peaceful home—somewhere calm, predictable, and full of gentle love. Humans who understand that the best relationships aren’t rushed would be perfect for her. Calm children aged 15 and over would suit her well, and she would adore having a secure yard where she can stretch out, nap in the sunshine, and enjoy the simple joys of a safe place to call her own.

She needs to be the only dog in the home and isn’t able to live with small animals, but that just means all her love, loyalty, and devotion will be yours alone.
