About Phillip

Hi, I’m Phillip! I’m a 10-month-old mastiff mix (there might be a bit of Shar Pei in me too, but I’m keeping that part a mystery). I’m a gentle soul who’s still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. I can be a little shy and startle easily, so I’m looking for a quiet home where I can settle in at my own pace. Once I trust you, I’m super affectionate and loving — I just need a bit of time to come out of my shell.

I’d love to find a family with kids over 6 who are calm and confident around dogs, and who will give me the space and support I need to grow. I’ll need to be your one and only dog, as I’m still working on rebuilding my trust after living in a home where I didn’t have the best experience with other dogs. That said, I’m learning! With structured training and positive reinforcement, I’ve been showing good signs when I see dogs out and about. I’d do best with an experienced owner who can continue helping me build confidence and feel secure. Before I head off to my forever home, I’d like to meet everyone in the family so we can all start off on the right paw together.
