About Dorothy
Hi my name is Dorothy and I'm a stunning Murray-Darling Carpet Python. My species, as my name suggests, live along the Murray-Darling Basin in central and western New South Wales and Victoria, reaching into southern Queensland.
I have found a safe and comfortable place to live, but I'm still getting used to humans! I will need an experience handler as I am a bit protective of my cage. Being a juvenile I will need to be handled more frequently to get used to people!
I absolutely love my food and. So sometimes I can get a bit overzealous during feeding time. I love to chill out and lay across my rock, soaking in the heat.
I require a UV light and heat lamp, basking area and a suitable sized enclosure for me to stretch out.
